Arunaa Nagarajan Ganesan
Intern in computational and Systems Biology and Bioinformatics
I completed my Master’s in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in December 2024, with a focus on microbiology and immuno-oncology. My previous research inspired my interest in infectious diseases, vaccine development, and immunology. In early 2025, I joined the Barouch Lab to further explore translational research in immunology. Around the same time, I began learning R, recognizing the power of computational tools in interpreting complex biological data. I am currently working with Dr. Boudries and the CVVR bioinformatics team, where I’m learning to apply and contribute to single-cell analysis approaches. Further, I aspire to pursue a PhD that integrates experimental biology with computational methods to drive impactful discoveries in human health.
